Scottish Holidays

In the north of Scotland there is a city called Aberdeen . This wonderful little place is often overlooked by travellers in favour of the country's largest two cities Edinburgh and Glasgow. This is a shame because Aberdeen has nearly as much to offer the discerning tourist as its larger cousins, and is a much more interesting place to visit than the majority of the regular tourist destinations chosen by British tourists every year.

Of course with the weather in the UK being fairly shabby almost all year round, people will always head to warmer places to ensure they get at least a little bit of sunshine in their lives. Who can blame them? I'm sure the people of Aberdeen itself are not different. However for those braving the inclemency of the Scottish weather they will uncover a picturesque city of many architectural wonders and a rich cultural history well represented in its numerous museums and galleries.

While visiting Aberdeen guests will also be well placed to gad about in the surrounding administrative district of Aberdeenshire. This will open up all sorts of wondrous adventuring opportunities including hunting and rambling through some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK . Despite the weather not being guaranteed to be sunny constantly this part of the world offers landscapes that you can find nowhere else and a sense of freedom from the seemingly endless wilderness that is the perfect tonic for a hectic city lifestyle.
